To make paper flower pompoms, you will need tissue paper in your desired colors, floral wire, and scissors. Begin by stacking eight to ten sheets of tissue paper on top of each other, with each sheet measuring approximately 20x30cm. Accordion fold the paper in 1-inch increments, making sure to press down firmly with each fold. Once you’ve finished folding the paper, wrap a piece of floral wire tightly around the center of the folded tissue paper, then cut the edges of the paper into rounded or pointed shapes, depending on your preference.
Next, carefully separate and fluff each layer of tissue paper, working toward the center of the fold until both sides of the pompom are even. Lastly, attach a piece of ribbon or fishing line to the floral wire loop at the top of the pompom and hang it wherever you like.
In just a few simple steps, you can create beautiful and vibrant paper flower pompoms to add a pop of color to any occasion.
